Ritzwell has won the prestigious 2017 iF Design Award with its Light Field sofa designed by Shinsaku Miyamoto
The iF (Industry Forum) jury awarded the 2017 Design Award to Ritwell’s LIGHT FIELD sofa for two specific reasons: excellence in materials and originality in reinterpreting the “classic leather sofa” with a contemporary edge.
In Shinsaku Miyamoto’s words, LIGHT FIELD, “with its unparalleled comfort, its surprising details, its leather cushioning, manages to recreate a sophisticated space that evokes a delicate blanket of cherry blossoms.” He then adds: “Back in 1953 a group of industry owners founded an association later to be known as “iF”, with the aim of bringing popular attention to the best expressions of industrial design. Today we are very proud to be on this list. It is a recognition of excellence, an acknowledgement of the beauty of our designs and the perfection of our ergonomics: these are the values Ritwell has firmly believed in since it started its business operations, 25 years ago.”
LIGHT FIELD was selected from over 5.000 products from 70 different countries!
