ON THE OCCASION OF ITS 28TH ANNIVERSARY, RITZWELL HAS OPENED A NEW FACTORY WITH A CONCEPT AND LOCATION THAT FULLY UNVEIL ITS IDENTITY
Designed by architect Shigemi Imoto - owner of the international firm Imoto Architects - the new headquarters in Nijoyoshii, Itoshima, near the city of Fukuoka, is literally set between the wide bay of the Genkai Sea and the lush surrounding vegetation. Its architecture is in perfect osmosis with Nature and fully expresses the philosophy of the brand, which has always been inspired by the genius loci and by the ancient traditions of craftsmanship that have been reflected in the brand’s production since its origin. While the contemporary exterior facades convey a sense of corporate solidity, the workshops and interior exhibition spaces, which feature warm and natural finishes like teak wood, enhance the manufacturing qualities combined with the codes of a more contemporary design, which make up the unique identity of Ritzwell products. The Itoshima Seaside Factory, with its overall surface of 5,969 square metres, is a ‘romantic’ production site where you can ‘touch and feel’ the most authentic values of interior design.
